Our story
From a coffee shop
in west London.
The Beacon & Armour journey began in a west London coffee shop after a particularly impassioned conversation about a mutual love for good things made well. Our vision was simple: to create a place where great designs are celebrated, as we honour the craftsmen and women behind them. And that’s what we’ve been doing ever since.
Endeavour - our first story.
Our first story meant a lot to us. Not only did we go to Devon on a hunch, but the experience of meeting and spending the morning with Peter was one we will never forget. What a privilege it was to be able to listen to his stories whilst being out at sea with him. This was the morning that ignited a passion for searching and bringing stories like this to you.
2 years and 6 products later…
Alongside these stories, we dived deep into the world of product design and learnt how the fashion industry works (many tough lessons). We built a network of support around us - from talented principal designers, British material suppliers to family-run manufacturers in the UK and Europe. We are incredibly proud of every single product we've ever released, a testament to everyone's dedication to their craft! We now have a pipeline of products for the next two-three years and can't wait to share them with you!
So what are we up to?
We release three to four small-batch products a year, made to order so as to reduce waste. These limited edition pieces are either made in-house (acme reserve), or in collaboration with other brilliant artisans. We’ve made it our mission to share their full evolution with you - letting you know the stuff most brands leave out. It’s a new way of doing things, and we are all in. From introducing you to the designs, to the people behind them, even down to the seam choices. Reconnecting to the stories behind what we wear is at our core.
Our message to you
In a bid to stand firm against the tide of the industry, you’ll notice that we steer clear of trend pieces, opting rather for ones which we are certain you will be loving for years to come. That’s why we source the very best of materials and factories for our timeless products, because getting it right matters.
